Daniela Schillaci
Myotherapist · Meditation Teacher · MindBody Educator
Daniela Schillaci is a Myotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience and a focus on the interplay between the mind and body in health. She works in private practice at Elwood Osteopathy, collaborating with a broad network of allied health professionals.
Alongside her hands-on clinical work, Daniela has spent more than two decades studying and practising various meditation traditions, integrating insights from both Eastern philosophies and Western science. Her experience includes Tibetan Buddhism, training with traditional teachers in India, and exploring contemporary research in neuroscience and mindfulness. This diverse foundation informs her evidence-based, practical approach to teaching.
Whether studying health science or meditation, Daniela was always asking: “But why does this work?” What’s happening beneath the surface? This question became central to her approach—driving her to explore the deeper mechanisms behind body-mind practices, not just the techniques.
Daniela has trained with respected psychologists including Dr. Craig Hassed and Dr. Richard Chambers, the Monash Centre for Consciousness and Contemplative Studies, and Matthew Young, Director of Melbourne Meditation Centre.
A certified meditation teacher and former lecturer in massage programs at RMIT and Victoria University, Daniela now leads MindBody Balance Education—an online platform supporting therapists and health professionals in exploring the deeper intelligence that connects the mind and body.
Her approach is practical, evidence-informed, and grounded in real-world experience. Whether working with clients or mentoring practitioners, Daniela’s goal is simple: To guide others in understanding why these practices work—not just what to do.
“I don’t have all the answers. But I know how to help you ask the right questions.”
